The 2011 ISAF world championships are the biggest event of the sailing calendar short of the Olympics. At this event, all 10 Olympic class boats will award 75% of the Olympic spots at this single event.

The ISAF 2011 World Championships will also have a test event in 16-21 November of 2010. Many aspiring Olympians will trek down to Australia in order to ready themselves for the 2011 World Championships in Perth.

Perth and Freemantle had the eyes of sailing fans across the world focused on them during the famous Americas Cup of 1983 where the USA won back the cup in an epic battle of two proud sailing nations. The ISAF World Championships of 2011 will be another great sailing story for this city.

Port Tack Charter will also have a fleet in Melbourne for the Sail Melbourne regatta, 2011.  Immediately following the 2011 sail Melbourne event the fleet will be transported to Perth for use at the ISAF World Championships.  Please contact us by email for more details.
